Just discovered this band thanks to NPR Music. Completely different, hypnotic music. Good stuff!

Hollerin’ the Spirit is the debut full length from Oakland rock quartet Real Life Rock & Roll Band. Recorded at the storied Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco in 2016, after a long incubation the band is excited to present their utopic visionary rock music on Oakland-based creative music label Geomancy.
The group applies minimalist process music techniques to country-tinged dual guitar riffs in the long tradition of Henry Flynt’s Nova’billy or Tetuzi Akiyama. This is not to say that the music is stale or placid, however. The quartet plays on the brink of collapse, interlocking grooves constantly threatening to fall apart completely. The bulk of Hollerin’ was recorded in a single day, all four members of the group in a room together, favoring the spirit of the music over the evasive monolith of perfection.
Equal turns unhinged and hypnotic, Hollerin’ the Spirit is an idiosyncratic journey guided by the ghosts of rock & roll. This is not music that is nostalgic for an era long-past or never-was, this is music looking towards the future, towards using our collective work to build a better world. Hollerin’ has been a long time coming, and now we’re finally ready.

This is the album that has gotten me through the pandemic. It has provided peace when peace was nowhere else to be found. It has provided joy when joy was elusive. It has inspired gratitude when darkness and cynicism have crept in. Thank you Andrew. Polygondwanajams

Found Weathers from his collab with Hayden Pedigo and have fallen in love.
This is one of those rare records filled with sonic orgasms to get lost in.
